With the launch of our new Wealth Platform, we shared a list of our favourite features and number one was the secure document storage. By introducing this property, our clients’ financial documents are better protected than ever. But there are more benefits than that!
No more encrypted emails
Not only does our document storage offer the ability to keep all of your financial documents in one place, it also enables us to communicate directly through the platform.
Instead of sending you multiple emails that require encryption, we can now share these pieces of communication within your portal. These documents are automatically uploaded to your portal when they are ready.
That means never losing vital documents, always having your records on hand, and never missing important updates. By storing these documents within Wealth Platform, communication between you and your adviser is more secure and reliable.
Storing personal documents
One of the most inventive ways we have seen clients use the secure document storage in Wealth Platform is to use it for personal documents as well.
Because the security of Wealth Platform is so strong, it can be a great place to upload and store any document that you don’t want to lose track of – even if they aren’t related to your financial plans. You can use this space to save copies of contracts, marriage certificates, or agreements.
We have even seen clients upload a copy of their passport to ensure it’s available while travelling!
Having somewhere safe to keep your important documents is invaluable and, here at Advisa, we are diligent in protecting you and your information.
Tips for secure storage
In order for users to get the most out of the secure storage feature of Wealth Platform, we have compiled a few tips to enhance your experience:
Use it for communication
During lockdown in particular, we found that using the secure document storage as a tool for communication was incredibly effective.
Continue the trend of no encrypted emails by sharing important information with us through the portal. This will ensure that there is no way your details can be intercepted.
Make a list of important documents
Should you decide to use the Wealth Platform portal as a ‘cloud storage’ system for personal documents, it is a good idea to be thorough.
To be certain that you have all of your important information readily available in one place, make a list of everything that you’ll need access to, but which should remain confidential.
Once you have a list, you can upload all of these documents to Wealth Platform to store them safely.
As with most things regarding finances, it’s important to regularly review what you have stored in Wealth Platform.
Important documents often have information that can go out of date. Make sure to review these and only keep the most up to date versions stored. This can save you from headaches in the long run.
Luckily, you can easily review these any time you log in to Wealth Platform to ascertain your financial situation.
Take advantage of our highly secure platform and make it work for you. By following these tips and thinking outside the box, Wealth Platform can not only give you detailed oversight of your financial situation, but also a greater sense of security for confidential documents.
